You can read the interviews of top 3 players in recent tournaments for more insights into class/race etc. It allows very strong expansion and very good clearing.
Personally, I really like Tigran Warlord Grey Guard Master, and Partisan, see my match vs Marcuspers for some explanations. That may seem counter-intuitive combos to many people but for instance Jean de Metz, #2 best AoW3 PBEM player used Orc Sorcerer to win vs gabthegab in the 1/4 match of the Duel Tournament. Holy bolts is very useful, and with 2 strikes and better overall stats, they rock. Orcs have Victory Rush so they compensate well the lack of healing of Rogue and Sorcerer which lack any access to healing.Īnd finally, you need to think about Empire Upgrades and RG, though here I don't see any very strong synergies (though there are some smaller ones).Īll in all, I think Orc Sorcerer and Orc Rogue are interesting synergies due to Victory Rush + Physical & Shock / Blight. Saint - 4.5 - Best magic-class unit in the game. Orcs only have Physical damage so the classes that open up other damage channels are interesting options.
A good combo can be when the race plugs the class' weaknesses or opens up new options or vice-versa.
